Webinar recording poster titled “Inside the Synovial Sarcoma Foundation” featuring speakers Nathan Imperiale and Philip Leider, recorded October 9, 2026, and sponsored by US WorldMeds.

Our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nathan Imperiale, was recently invited by Philip Leider, President of the Board of the Sarcoma Alliance, to present about the Synovial Sarcoma Foundation in a live webinar hosted by the Sarcoma Alliance.

The conversation covered the Foundation’s origin story, our active research programs, and the resources available to patients and families navigating a synovial sarcoma diagnosis. From the International Tumor Board to the Registry and Biorepository, from TumorGlow to our mRNA vaccine program, Nathan walked through the work the Foundation is doing and what it means for the community right now.

“We see our jobs as being air traffic controllers, so to speak, for the disease – making sure patients get to the right institution, the right specialist, the right clinical trial at the right time.”

    — Nathan Imperiale, Chairman of the Board, Synovial Sarcoma Foundation

The conversation continues today ie Tuesday, October 20, from 6:00-7:00 PM ET.

Our next community webinar, Synovial Sarcoma Clinical Trials: Research Updates and Community Q&A, brings together three leading specialists to discuss where the research stands and what it means for patients right now.

Joining us are Dr. Theodore Laetsch, Pediatric Oncologist at CHOP and leader of the SSF Medical Advisory Board; Dr. Shanda Blackmon, Thoracic Surgeon at Baylor College of Medicine; Dr. Seth Pollack, Director of the Sarcoma Program at Northwestern University and SSF Medical Advisory Board Member; and Dr. Peter Mattei, Pediatric Thoracic Surgeon at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Topics will include updates on active clinical trials, an overview of the TumorGlow pediatric trial at CHOP and Penn Medicine, and advances in thoracic sarcoma surgery. The webinar closes with a live community Q&A, where you can ask questions directly to the specialists.

Whether you are exploring treatment options, curious about clinical trials, or want to stay informed about the latest in synovial sarcoma research, this webinar is for you.
