About the Board

The Synovial Sarcoma Tumor Board is a national forum where leading clinicians collaborate on complex synovial sarcoma cases in both children and adults. Hosted by the Very Rare Malignant Tumors Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and led by Dr. Ted Laetsch, the board provides multidisciplinary input to guide care and expand treatment options.

Today, the Tumor Board includes 122 registered members from 42 leading cancer centers across the U.S. and Canada.

Date: 4th Monday of every month

Time: 5:00–6:00 PM EST

For Patients:

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, your case can be reviewed by the Tumor Board. Patients cannot join directly — but you can ask your oncologist or care team to participate and present your case. Share this webpage or the flyer below.

The tumor board is a multidisciplinary medical team of specialists—including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and sometimes geneticists—who convene to discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan for patients with complex cancers like synovial sarcoma. By combining expertise across multiple specialties, the tumor board ensures patients receive a comprehensive and well-informed approach to their care.
