About the Board
The Synovial Sarcoma Tumor Board is a vital resource and brings together national experts to discuss complex synovial sarcoma cases in children and adults. This collaborative board is hosted by the Very Rare Malignant Tumors Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and led by Dr. Ted Laetsch.

Time: 5:00–6:00 PM EST
Location: Virtual
Participation: The tumor board is open exclusively to medical personnel. Patients and family members are not permitted to attend. To request to be added to the email list and calendar invite, please email project manager Lauren Gutstein.
The tumor board is a multidisciplinary medical team of specialists—including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and sometimes geneticists—who convene to discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan for patients with complex cancers like synovial sarcoma. By combining expertise across multiple specialties, the tumor board ensures patients receive a comprehensive and well-informed approach to their care.
