Profile Narrative: Angelo’s cancer was discovered in February 2025 after a biopsy of what was believed to be a simple abdominal cyst that had grown quickly. Initially, everything seemed normal, but internal bleeding required him to return to surgery the following day. The biopsy results took time, and by the time they arrived, nearly two months had passed. At that point, further testing showed additional disease in the peritoneum. He began chemotherapy with ifosfamide, mesna, fauldoxo, and Neulastim. After four sessions, there was no improvement or tumor reduction, and his treatment was changed. He has since started a new protocol with Yondelis and is currently undergoing treatment. His wife describes the experience as extremely distressing, especially due to the lack of a clear or effective treatment. Before his diagnosis, Angelo was very active and ran his own business, which he had to close in order to focus on treatment. He is a Christian, and faith has been an important part of how they cope with the challenges of this journey.
